The wax melter is intended for hobby beekeepers to melt old combs. The perforated comb basket of the wax melter can hold 15 frames (the number depends on frame size). A melting cycle takes about 30 minutes. The bottom of the wax melter is angled toward the wax outlet pipe, so wax can drain easily from the melter. Pure wax runs through the perforated basket floor into the outlet pipe and into an external container, while debris remains in the perforated comb basket. During this process the frames are cleaned and disinfected. Wax cappings can also be melted in the wax melter.

The wax melter consists of a container with a capacity of 100 l, a perforated basket at the container bottom and a steam generator (Dampfmeister), which produces dry steam to ensure the correct temperature during wax melting.

Easy to use:
Place the frames into the perforated comb basket. Pour approx. 3 litres of water into the steam generator, connect it to the mains and the dry steam will begin to flow through the pipe. The water in the steam generator is sufficient for approx. 50 minutes of operation.
