The under-extractor straining can is primarily intended for straining while extracting honey. Two stainless steel pinch taps are welded to the can, which provide a clean cut-off of the honey flow. The upper XL overflow tap is for the strained honey to run out into lower containers. The lower pinch tap is used to drain the honey.

Due to the larger diameter of the upper overflow tap, the flow of strained honey from the container is up to 50% higher than with a standard pinch tap.

STRAINING PROCEDURE
Place the straining can under the honey extractor's pinch tap. During straining the lower pinch tap must be closed. The honey level rises to the upper XL overflow tap and then runs through this upper overflow tap into a receiving pail. A filled straining can allows continuous straining. As honey flows into the can, wax particles rise to the surface and can be easily skimmed off. The fine mesh does not clog even during all-day straining. At the end we empty the under-extractor straining can through the lower pinch tap.

The straining can can also be used to fill jars with honey directly, since the pinch tap provides a clean cut-off.
