Description
Suitable for: up to 15 frames (Langstroth / Zander / DN) or 13 AŽ frames. Basket diameter 47 cm, overall height 72 cm.
The wax melter is designed for hobby beekeepers to melt old combs. Approximately 15 frames fit into the perforated comb basket (the exact number depends on the frame size). A melting cycle takes about 30 minutes. The bottom of the wax melter is angled toward the wax outlet pipe so the wax can drain easily from the melter. Pure wax passes through the perforated basket bottom and flows through the outlet pipe into an external container, while debris remains in the perforated comb basket. During this process the frames are cleaned and disinfected. Wax cappings can also be melted in the wax melter.
The external container of the wax melter can also be used to disinfect beekeeping tools, equipment and frames. To do this, the wax outlet pipe must be closed with a blanking plug.
The wax melter consists of a stainless steel container with a capacity of 100 l, a perforated basket at the container bottom and a Dampfmeister unit, which generates dry steam and thus ensures the correct temperature for melting wax.
Diameter: 47 cm
Height: 72 cm
Height of wax outlet pipe: 12 cm
Power of Dampfmeister (dry-steam unit): 1950 W / 230 V
Easy to use:
Place the frames in the perforated comb basket. Pour approx. 3 litres of water into the Dampfmeister, connect it to the mains and the dry steam will begin to flow through the pipe. The water in the Dampfmeister is sufficient for approx. 50 minutes of operation.
Optional accessories:
- Stand for container Ø 47 cm, stainless steel (Art. Nr. 2403)
- Stainless steel outer wax container (Art. Nr. 3361)
Logar quality: As a stainless steel product, this Logar wax melter is ideal for beekeepers who value durability, easy cleaning and reliable performance. The integrated Dampfmeister ensures even temperatures for melting and disinfecting.
