The wax melter is designed for hobby beekeepers to melt old comb. Approximately 15 frames fit into the perforated comb basket of the melter (the exact number depends on the frame size). The bottom of the melter is sloped towards the wax outlet pipe so the wax can flow out easily. Clean wax drains through the perforated basket floor and flows through the outlet pipe into an external container, while debris remains in the perforated comb basket. During this process the frames are cleaned and disinfected. Wax cappings can also be melted in the melter.

The wax melter consists of a stainless-steel container with a capacity of 100 l and a perforated comb basket positioned at the bottom of the container. Supplied without steam unit.
